Peace and quiet, we only had the 1 day there very tranquil and very out of the way 10mins to rothbury but why bother nature jumping around all over the place and a stream running through no hardstanding but even with my van grass firm and plenty space around pitches staff nice and helpful with only an hour going to be back there soon
For peace and quiet this is the place to go bueatiful area plenty of walks from the site great for dogs and walkers alike We will definitely be back
Friendly staff . Quiet site. A bit barren.Could have done with a few small flower beds to brighten it up a bit. There seemed to be a lot of empty vans on seasonal pitches that made it seem rather dead. That's my impression.
A quiet back to basics touring caravan site with grass pitches, electric hook-ups, no toilet block and few facilities other than water taps, toilet emptying pints and waste water disposal. What it has is peacefulness, lovely walks from the site, easy quiet access to nearby Rothbury and low site fees of 14 per night for CAMC members in 2018. Friendly welcome and a haven for bird spotters await. The three fields can be very wet and soggy after heavy rain.
Great site. Quiet. Great location. Lovely walks locally. A stream runs around the edge. Pheasants stroll around. A heron pops by. There's 3 main areas to choose from. Space for about 80 vehicles but you really don't feel on top of each other. No play park. No toilet block.
