Bit pricey! But sells some nice Homeware and beauty products.
Rutherford's is a good store with a wide range of products which range in price. I must say that I would tend to be drawn in by a sale or something that I have seen in the window I like, as the price of the products can be a little on the higher side. The store has a great coffee shop upstairs, which serve scones, sandwiches and the like.I do like to support long-standing local stores and we are losing a few, so I will pop in now and then and would encourage others to have a look too.
Popped into Rutherford's today Friday 7/12/18 but was delayed by their lovely window display . A beautiful Nativity scene plus the other windows beautifully and tastefully decorated. More appealing to me than another department store on Northumberland Street, Newcastle upon Tyne (also at New Bond Street, London)
Always visit Rutherford when in Morpeth, however today we visited the cafe at 4:30 the girl was rather unfriendly and offhand, making it clear we were late and we could only have tea,coffee and a scone as they were about to close. The board says 5 o'clock. We were hovered over while we ate and the table was cleared as we were getting ready to go. We won't visit again. However the store is beautiful.
Great shop, quirky but always different, some really good finds here.
