A Dr from this surgery missed skin cancer in my father in-law even after a mass broke out on his back 18 months ago the Dr diagnosis was a "baker's cyst". Numerous times my father in-law went with lumps in his gland areas only to be told these were cysts and not to worry, he also informed the Dr that he was having increasing amounts of headaches and asked the Dr to investigate,he was told to take painkillers and that he worried too much. He is now in the Walton unit on end of life medication as the cancer has spread to the brain. Maybe if it hadn't been missed and was diagnosed early enough the treatment for the melanoma would of been offered and it would not have progressed to the brain. Maybe a earlier diagnosis would not have made any difference but my father in-law gave the Dr every opportunity to do something but he chose to dismiss my father in-law as a person who worries too much. "To the Dr concerned" my father in-law is fully aware of what is happening to him now and has cause to be worried, he's petrified beyond belief thanks to an obvious melanoma misdiagnosis.
